Over the past year, United Methodists from across Georgia have shared devotionals that helped draw us closer to God and to one another.
In this new devotional series, Sanctuary Spaces, we turn our attention to the places where God’s voice becomes clear and our spirits find rest. These spaces may be as vast as a beautiful ocean view or as simple as a backyard chair in the quiet of morning. Wherever they are, they remind us that God is near—inviting us to pause, breathe, and listen.
Each devotion offers a scripture, a story, and a prayer, as Georgia United Methodist laity invite us to step into a sanctuary space they hold dear. May these reflections bless us with fresh ways of finding peace and encourage us to linger with the Lord who meets us in every place, both holy and ordinary.
The devotions will be available September 1 at www.georgiaumc.org/sanctuary-spaces.
