The beloved Christmas story from the classic Christmas movie, It’s A Wonderful Life performed by the Front Porch Players has a huge cast that features a number of children from about age 6 through teens, and adults of all ages. Our own Joe Wiley, a veteran member of TFPP, both as an actor and behind-the-scenes, stars as Uncle Billy. Joe has been in the church drama group, The Morrow Players (previously The Vesper Players), and in community theatre and school theatre in Clayton County for over 50 years.
“It’s a Wonderful Life” underscores the idea that everyone’s life has meaning and purpose. George Bailey, who has given up his personal dreams in order to help others in his community, and who is facing real personal challenges with thoughts of suicide on Christmas Eve, has an “Epiphany” with the help of his guardian angel, Clarence, who shows him all the lives he has touched and how different his community’s life would be if he did not exist.
Our own Jean Peacock is Advertising/Sponsorship/Public Relations Chair and a member of TFPP Board of Directors.
Other familiar names in It’s A Wonderful Life are former members Chuck Matthews, Sound Co-Chair and Board of Directors At Large Member; Beth Matthews, Board of Directors At Large Member; and Mary Anne Brannon, Board of Directors At Large Member.
