Excerpt from a letter sent to Morrow First UMC:
For 25 years, Good Shepherd Clinic has provided free medical care to thousands of uninsured and low-income residents. Many of our patients would go without treatment if not for the dedication of our staff, volunteers, and supporters like you. Together, we have built a place of healing, hope, and dignity right here in our community.
As we shared at our 25th anniversary celebration, our clinic will merge with The Urban Clinic of Atlanta to become one stronger, more sustainable organization. This merger unites two like-minded clinics with a shared mission and vision.
Here is what this means for our patients and supporters:
- Expanded access to care across the metro Atlanta area.
- A broader range of services that address both medical and social needs.
- Improved efficiency, ensuring that more of every dollar directly supports patient care.
- A stronger voice within the free and charitable clinic community, advancing our mission and impact.
Both clinic locations in Morrow and Atlanta will remain open. The Good Shepherd Clinic name, programming, and legacy will continue, led by The Urban Clinic of Atlanta.
With gratitude,
